8. Why Don’t You Use Glucosamine,
Chondroitin, Krill, or Salmon Oil?

These ingredients are often sourced unsustainably or are redundant when

form of Brewer’s Yeast, which retains valuable nutrients but does not contain
live yeast cells that could lead to overgrowth or health issues. It is
non-fermenting.

Brewer’s Dried Yeast is a natural source of essential nutrients,

“Will Brewer’s Yeast cause ear infections or yeast overgrowth in my dog?”

Nope! The yeast that sometimes causes skin or ear issues in
dogs—Malassezia spp.—is completely different from the inactive yeast used in Petjuvenate®.

Our dry yeast does not feed or promote yeast overgrowth, nor will it increase
the risk of conditions like otitis externa (ear infections).

A Few Cautions:

Because Brewer’s Yeast does contain natural protein, it may not be ideal
for dogs with kidney disease, who often need protein-restricted diets. However,
the amount used in Petjuvenate® is minimal, and the ingredient is inactive, so
reactions are extremely unlikely. Still, we always recommend consulting your
veterinarian if your dog has any chronic condition, before taking any supplement.
